Dealers agree — the slight increase in attendance at the 2010 Dallas Auto Show is a hopeful sign for the automotive industry and the overall economy as well.
"Attendance was up this year over last year which I think bodes well for car sales in the coming months," said Don Herring, Jr., 2010 Dallas Auto Show chairman, "and we can already attribute some of our car sales to the Show. As we continue to work through uncertain times it's extremely encouraging to have a success such as this years Dallas Auto Show."
Dealers who worked the Show also saw an increase of "ready to buy" consumers at this year's event.
"This show was all about the consumer and our promise to deliver one of the best auto shows in the nation. And I believe we did just that, "said Sam Pack, 2010 chairman of the New Car Dealers Association of Metropolitan Dallas (NCDA). "The Dallas Auto Show came at a perfect time of the year, right before spring and the start of what we expect to be a very, very strong selling season.
