Dealers "Reconnect" with Customers at 2009 Dallas Auto Show
Product specialists and dealership sales personnel have traditionally been the "go to" people at auto shows for consumers looking for detailed information about the vehicles on the exhibit floor. This year, however, Dallas Auto Show attendees found themselves actually talking to the dealer principals themselves.
"Many of our dealers were on hand this year to help instill consumer confidence in the automobile industry as well as the economy as a whole," said Drew Campbell, president of the New Car Dealers Association of Metropolitan Dallas. "And, they discovered that the 2009 Dallas Auto Show was a great opportunity to reconnect with their customers."
David Thomas, 2009 Dallas Auto Show chairman, and Don Herring Jr., 2009 NCDA chairman, were two dealers who didn't miss one day of opportunities to visit with prospective customers.

Inaugural Southwest Automotive Aftermarket Show Hailed a Success
Dallas – The first Southwest Automotive Aftermarket Show (SAAS) held in conjunction with the New Car Dealers Association of Metropolitan Dallas's annual Dallas Auto Show, was hailed a success by both exhibitors and attendees.
The show brought together aftermarket manufacturers and suppliers with new car dealers and aftermarket retailers, jobbers and installers. The show featured exhibitors such as Car Toys, Restyler's Choice, Qualitex Custom Seating, TropiCare Car Care Products and Ranchhand Truck Accessories.
"We at Ranchhand Truck Accessories would like to let you know that the SW Aftermarket Show was a huge success for us. Our biggest leads came from the fleet departments of three new car dealers", said Kevin Scholten, Regional Sales Manager for Ranchhand.
Additionally, the show provided a great opportunity for exhibitors such as HackShack, Detail Werks and Dallas Airbrush to meet with a tremendous number of car and truck enthusiasts looking for the latest products and services to customize their cars and trucks.
"I have to say the show was a total success; we handed out around 10,000 business cards and gave probably 200 estimates. I'm still calling people back and getting a lot of phone calls", said David and Michelle of Dallas Airbrush. "I've got plenty of potential clients lined up now thanks to the show!"
